found out where the extra power came from
ok,
i found out what happend, if you dont rember i had cleaned (gunk and hose) the engine bay.
aand when i went out for a run to dry it, it had more power..i thaught somthing may have been sticking on the wast gate.
or the intercooler was real dirty.
well, from all the brow beeting from you guys about the BOV, i got the $37- bosh 710N DV from audi, to see if i liked it before i spent the bucks for a forged one....
when i went to put it in last night, i went to pull the plug that was keeping the return closed, and found out that it was gone.
so i was sucking un-filterd air into the turbo...not good
and yes that is where the extra boost was comming from, it was the dule stage bov that was keepint the car running, i tried to diconect the return from the DV, but the car was idileing all over the place..
so,
now that i am back to normal power, i am longing for the extra boost again.
i have seen a number of k&n type crank case filters at the stores, i wonder how it would run if i put the BOV back in and put
a filter on the return...
from what i can tell it is past the maf and if it is getting extra air, it should make up for the car running rich because of the BOV???
what are your thaughts??? (beside tha fact i can't spell)
