Default HOW MUCH EXTRA POWER CAN THE 1.8 BLOCK HOLD???

Hey everyone!
I have always been into modifying my cars to get what is phisically possible out of them and i need some input... i am fairly new to the audi world and don't know exacly how this baby is built.i am intrested in knowing how much horsepower and boost the stock internals can hold (1.8T) and what types ofRPM we can rev to...any input on related subjects, personal experiences, andtesting would be very helpfull.

if your not breaking anything, your not going fast enough! -jet

Closer to 350. Jeff dyno'd 337 awhp. Most people that get numbers that high usually end up with a rod or 2 through the block.

its wise to upgrade internals whenever you go above 300hp from what i know. With BT tuning the rev limiter is raised to 7k in most cases.
