Default FPR?

Was looking at some parts at supremepowerparts.com and came accross this

It says if you have a 1bar chip or higher to use a 5 bar fpr.. was also reading about the neuspeed 1 bar chip they sell and it recomends a 5 bar fpr. How come GIAC or APR dont recomend a 5 bar fpr for their chips that are higher than 1 bar????? Anyone? Makes me want to try a 5 bar fpr!! I wonder if it will make me run too rich or what?? Stock fpr is 4 bar i believe...

If you drive like i do, then this may apply for you.

Recommended for vehicles that see sustained high speed/high RPM conditions such as open track events.

LOL, life is an open track event!

Seriously though, i drive the car hard a lot, but not constantly. But, maybe this would be worth swapping in for short periods of time when doing some drag runs or track day or something.

Well, from what i hear, those are only needed for B6 models. at least thats what GIAC and APR suggest.

From the site:
If you have a 1 bar or higher chip in your 1997-99 A4 1.8T

But I have no idea, I am just looking at what they have on the site.

I wouldn't think you would need it, unless you are BT.

i got u coverd!!!

here it goes. Find somewhere with a short steep speed bump. hit it too fast. fast enough where it bottoms out. hopefully, you will dent/crush a portion of ur exaust to an extent (before you try this, look under the car and see if the stock exaust is lower than other parts of the car. i know my aftermarket exaust is lower

and also. Borla is cheeper. and i like it. w00t

and for the mod. i know its hard. but id suggest saving for a k04. it takes longer. more tedious. harder to explain. but i think itd be worth it. but im a hypocrit. new breaks. to new suspension to a new clutch a flywheel! i cant wiat.

Don't drive over a speed bump fast. The most likely part to be taken out is your aluminum oil pan.

Let me know, if you want to get rid of your exhaust, I have a solution

GIAC does not recommend 5bar, so you should ask them before you buy it.
I know Neuspeed recommends 5 bar tho.
