Freaking Tint !
Ok guys, yesterday I had my window's tinted. The owner of the shop told me C 35 would give my windows more of a true black. That is a carbon based tint. The other option was HP 35 but he said that usually puts off more of a blue hint, and can mess with reception because it is metallic based. My car is black and my interior is tan. I think this combo is what makes the window's look like they are more toward the yellow spectrum than I want. What tint are you guys using? Do you think there would be compications if I decided to switch. Besides dumping extra money that is..................................
I have never heard of that BS before. I have had 3 cars in my life and I have tinted every one of them. LIMO tint on all of them. ( which is 5 ) . You usually pick what degree you want and thats it. But if you got some yellow **** then I dont know. You got scammed. Go back and tell him , MY WINDOWS ARE SLIGHTLY YELLOW AND IT LOOKS UGLY . Put regular black tint on. NO BS. Say that.
I use Huper Optik ceramic tint, 40% on all windows and 60% on the windshield and it looks great and rejects a lot of heat.
The tint itself is gray in colour and when matched to the slight green of our window glass it makes a smoked out look. Windshield % is so light you don't even know it is there but it rejects to much heat that with I was in LA during their heatwave and wave 120+ outside I could just open my door, sit on the leather seats and put my hand on my chrome shift **** without fear of meling my skin off.
My testiment to how well it works is, with no AC on, my car actually warms up when I roll the windows down while driving in a sunny day.

Well there are 2 main types of tint, metallic and ceramic.
Ceramic doesn't have any metal in it so it doesn't intefere with radio frequencies. The colour of Huper film isn't dyed on so it will not fade with time. If you replace a window a year from now and have the film applied it will look the same as the other windows.
The main advantage ceramic film has over metallic is better heat rejection for a lighter film. My 40% film rejcts the same, if not more, heat than 5% black.

That is a very nice Wagon! As for the tint, it is lifetime guarenteed and It isn't that it's yellow and cheap. The tint is good. "zat0rsk1" I think it may be harder to tell color variation with a tint % of 5. I got 35 all around and I probably wouldn't notice as much if it weren't for the stock tint on the top of the windshield and the sunroof. Both have more of a blue gray color to them than the charcoal color the rest of my windows now have. The main problem I will have if I decided I want to switch is that alot of the time removing tint from ones back window will ruin the defrost strips. Shops don't guarentee, at least the ones I've talked to, the defrost working once the film has been removed.
