I was wondering what type of front mount intercoolers you would suggest putting on, I plan on putting a chip in then an exhaust, then FMIC. I wanted to know what was the best front mount you think of getting. I have a stock turbo, but very possible to upgrade in future to K04.

You only really need a FMIC if you go BT. Greddy, ecode tuning, racetech, evo racewerks, APR, etc.

 

Save your money until you get a bigger turbo.

 

what car do you have? AWE make a nice FMIC for the B6s.

 

I have a 2001 Quattro, Sport package (if that means anything) I wanted to do all the supporting parts for a turbo first so when I decide to go with a bigger turbo I can just put it in and not have to worry about getting all the supporting modifications... I am going to take my time with this, I only want to put in the best for her and yes I do need to save a lot of money...and plus front mounts just look absolutely beautiful

 

And also to add, I may go bigger than a K04 depending on how much power I really feel like goin with...But thank you all for your ideas

 

Yeah you'll be fine with any FMIC you choose even if you decide to go bigger than K04, very rarely do you need to get a bigger FMIC to accomodate for a HUGE turbo.

 

For little more than the cost of the FMIC alone, you can get a K04 and programming. I'd go that route first, and then when you can afford it get a FMIC.
