Lightbulb Front Mount Intercoolers

I read on this guy's TT blog that (and I assume this is for 180 ATC and AWP mills), in a pinch, cheaper golf and Jetta FM intercoolers can be used on TTs with "just a bit of work".

Can someone give insight to what 'some work' implies (if this guy was even right that is)?

I have the ATC head and i believe he means that the Throttle Body is on the left side.. from the turbo to the IC will run on the left (passenger) side, and if you are running a FMIC the pipes will have to do a 180 to come back around to the TB into the intake mani.. There are companies that create manifolds that accept the TB on either side. If your budget allows I would try and do this to save headache.. cheers

The MKIV setups will work, you just cant use your side lower grills because the MKIV's are wider than the TT
