The day was saposed to be a good day. I had just finished classes and i was driving to dallas to visit my aunt for thanksgiving and see my family who i had not seen for since school started. When i drive i have my music on so i usualy cannot hear much from the engine. well i could hear/feel this scraping noise and i also lost all boost. i thought i blew a ic pipe off but i didnt have irregular maf sensors. so im in the process of moving to the right lane when i felt me run over some thing. at this time i now know i have a massive exhaust leak. i pull over and pop the hood, i notice that my exhaust manifold is cracked. The flange holding on the wastegate broke off. so now i have a huge mother ****** hole in the maniold where the wastegate and dump tube used to be. loud as heck and it is turning my engine bay black. i was able to drive the last 1 mile to my aunts house and now i will just leave it here. My parents got mad at me and told me i had to sell the car[:@] i pleaded with them and they said that i had to fix it then and i may not beable to drive it home for xmas. so my plan is to get a new manifold hopefuly a fullrace one or some thing simular and cheeper. if u guys have any ideas that would help. sorry for the long post but its been a bad week and im not even in school

 

I have had lots of weeks like that,and the rents wanted to sell this thing more then once.



btw-full race is def where its at.

 

I think ITS equal length mani, the same mani Tom used to make hi own. I think it is like 1k and the full race is up there too. Can always get the ATP manifold but id go with the ITS or fullrace mani.

 

the only bad thing with getting a new mani is that i need a new intake and dp. also i lost my wastegate and dumptube on the freeway, so any one selling a tial 38mm wastegate?
