Hey - I'm going to replace my fuel filter this next weekend and I need go buy the right tools for the job. I was going to go off the DIY here, but when I get down to the removal of the strap around the filter itself I think there is an error in the DIY

tool list for this operation is
8mm 12pt 3/8 drive allen and a 8mm ratcheting gearwrench
this is obviously not an allen socket and must be a torx socket - what size of torx is it? I don't have any torx so I can't just do a trial and error thing.

 

I just cut the plastix strap because my bolt was way corroded. I secured the filter with a zip tie around the plastic strap.

12k later and it's fine. It is a torx bolt but an allen can work sometimes. I don't remember offhand what the torx bit size is.
