I recently had my 2002 A4 Quattro in the shop for a timing belt, water pump, and thermostat replacement. The car had about half a tank of gas and the gauge seemed to work until it was nearly empty. When the gas tank was filled, the gauge stayed at empty and the "miles remaining" continues to count down from 10 miles... I have found a few similar threads but nothing specific enough to help. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Didn't get a response but found a thread with a similar problem and the procedure worked so I thought I would pass it along. With the ignition off, I took fuse number 28 and fuse number 15 out and started the engine. Turned the engine off and replaced the fuses. Cranked the engine and the fuel gauge indicates the proper amount of fuel and the miles remaining seems to be correct.
