Hi, I am new to this forum, my car is a 2002 a4 1.8t quattro 71k miles, the car has always run good till now, when is cold in the morning, I turn on the car everything is fine, as soon as i shift into any gear my PRNDS light up, I have read that is is the limp mode,the car moves and ***** however a little heavier than usual, if i shut off the car, and start it again the limp dissapears and the car runs normal. any Ideas? the last thing i checked today is that the g12 coolant is below min, tomorrow ill get some g12 and see what happens, can thsi bring the transmission into limp?

 

Hi I realize this an old post but did you ever figure it out? I'm having a similar problem. Thanks

 

Could be the transmission module.

 

I've put in a new tranny and tcu
