I have that yellow 'brake pads worn light' on.. however my pads seem fine i checked them the other day...
however my rotars are getting worn... does the light also signal that???

And how does the sensor work???? My guess is that it checks the amount the calipers squeeze in... good guess or totally off???

 

The sensor is built into the pad. Once the pad is worn down to the sensor, it triggers the pad warning light.
