funny... but what is a turbo timer?
it keeps ur car running after u take the key out 2 let the car "cool down". prevents damage to the motor and turbo by letting the cooling system run for a preset amount of time "like 5 min" is it hard? not too bad,,, r u any good with wiring?
SEARCH.. every site that sells them has a description on what their purposes are..
it just allows the engine to run with the ignition off so that it cools the turbo down a bit before shut off. this way the oil that stops in the turbo doesn't coke(or basically sludge up)
not that hard to install and keep all factory conveniences like the keyless entry/locking system(in B5's only) on B6's and B7's it can be a bit harder to retain those features..
the turbotimer is not needed persay, but it is a convienience feature. if you don't want one then just don't boost for your last couple minutes of driving then shut the car off normal. and you'll be fine

ya in my wrx and talon i let my car chill for about 90 seconds before i turned it off.
or like mentioned about if you dont boost your car the last couple minutes of driving than you will be chill as well.
on most turbo timers it has a self determining cooling time to where it adjusts itself compared to how hard your driving your car and when you come to a stop a light or something it will go down because its just idling.
sorry if that made no sense, im tired as shi*
