FWD Rear Coilover Install
Has anyone with a FWD A4 performed a coilover install? if so the fronts are the same as quattro but to take out the rear shocks seems as tho there is one bolt and thats it? can this be?

RE: FWD Rear Coilover Install
i did spring on my fwd. i went through the same thinking your probably going through right now. there is one lower bolt at the bottom of the shock, and up top is the hard part. you have to take off the side pieces next to your seat. first take out the bottom of the seat by pushing down ard once on the edge and then pulling up. now you should see the bottom of the side piece held in by a metal hook. bend it with your finger and pull the side piece off. now look to were the shock goes up into the car. there should be a piece of foam wedged in there. take that out and that will expose the 3 top bolts that need to come out to get the shock assembly out. i hope this was kind of clear, be sure to ask any questions you have. i know how lost i was when i went to do mine. i wish i had someone to help me.
