wich software can you run on one of g pop shop's ko3 rebuilt ko4 specs?can you run ko4 files, including the aggresive file?

 

probably but why not just go with a k04 they arent that expensive

 

yeah i was just thinking that 4 200$ extra i can get a new bog warner ko4 so i think ill just go with that.

 

i think the extra 200 would be well worth it knowing it was a brand new turbo not a rebuild.... even though there is nothing wrong with most rebuilds a new turbo is just more satisfying

I wouldn't sweat the $200 and just get the K04. I mean why half azz it? So it may take you a little longer to finish your car, so what? If your gonna do it, do it right. IMO

 

Getting a k03 rebuilt to k04 spec is not a bad idea at all. There anrent that many differences between the two and if that shop didnt know what they were doing,or if it was unreliable in any way,they wouldnt put their reputaion on the line by building them that way. They obviously have the proper tools to do it and it does come with a semi impressive warranty.... So I dont think its a terrible idea. But,I can see why anew k04 is deffinately more appealing to the majority. Their k03/k04 isprobably the mostreasonably priced alternative to a brand new one is all im sayin.

thats what i was saying too, that there not bad turbo's (so ive heard) if your on a real budget but it's true id rather get the best and pay an extra $200. not saying the rebuilt ko3's arent good.
