GAS
Ok so gas is around $3.18 a gallon here.... and I know for you Euros that isn't anything... but here in the states that is a jump....
Now that $3.18 is for Regular Unleaded. Which means Premium is around $3.30.
My Questions is will Regular Gas "hurt" my 1.8t..... I have heard different things about this and know a guy that puts only regular in his 1.8t Passat as he says premium is a waste of money.
Also I know our cars were tuned to run on 93... but does it hurt anything to use regular?
What are the
Pros
Cons
Thanks!

Don't do it. You will loose performance, & gas mileage. While it might be ok, to top off the tank with 87, it's not a good idea to run it. The engine will cut timing, & can cut boost. If it goes beyond what the ECU can adapt, it will put it into limp mode.
$3.30 for 93octane? You are complaining? It's $3.75 here!!!!!![

3.75 seems high for Washington...I'm in the bay area of California and 76 stations are charging almost that much, just a little lower for 91 octane. I thought California had the most ridiculous gas prices?
But yeah...use the best stuff only.

I found a 1992 geo 4 door 5 speed that "Runs Great!" for 300 bucks... For 40 miles a gallon i'm going to take a look and prob. pick it up this week. Thank the special interest oil groups who are tied in with our government for it.
As far as what your asking... NO NO NO don't do it
If you can't afford to give your audi what it needs than trade it in for a geo
That's like dumping your beer out on purpose... Such a waste
