91 is the min suggestion. If you can find a gas station with 91..that's fine. Where I am it's either 89 or 93. I go with 93. Unless I have a loaner of course, then it's 89.
Thanks, man. I knew 91 was the minimum suggested, but I didn't think it made much of a difference unless your car was chipped with a 93 oct. program. BP gas is the best, IMO. I always get good mileage with it, and I paid less for it today that I would for most other stations I drove by in Springfield tonight.

i either get 93 at sams or 91 at quik trip....... thing is i can't pass up the 93 at sams for the price of 89 anywhere else, we are on a 15 cent spread

that is why i am thinking of putting 93 oc programing on my ecu

I Always put 91 in my B5 2.8 but then again im not running turbos. If i had a turbo setup i would put the goodstuff in it. I always run sunoco gas, I go a couple minutes out of my way to get 91 for 2.71

93 is only like 2.89 but sheeeeeeit pennies save.

Sorry to threadjack, but 93 is only highly suggested when the car is chipped, right?? The BP I usually fill up at has 93 anyway, but I've never let 91 turn me away from a station.
im just in that habit from the mustang....tuned to use 93 octane

I really don't understand why some of you guys think that just because you buy a new A4 that you no longer have to be thrifty. How do you think I got the$ to buy my A4 ?

We're just pointing out that your A4 isn't going to love you very much if you keep feeding it cheap box wine when it really wants some Dom.

its not even $3 more for a full tank
i was just going to say that.
considering how much damage it COULD do, it's not worth it.
