Default Gas Cap Locking

Ok heres the thing with gas prices coming down people are to damm lazzy to buy there own. I came out this jumped in my car still draging from a nice over sleept night of sleep, only to find my car dosent want to start easy. It finly dose I look down and there is only 1/4 tank of gas. I just filled up last night. I pull out of my spot and look back to see if the door is open it wasnt but heres the thing I get out into the street and it flys open. At least what ever or who ever did it put the cap back in place and no CEL or gas cap warning went off. I'm already late for work so I hall tail to get here jump out and take a look only to find that the door had been forced open and the lock isnt holding it anymore. Anyone have any ideas on how to get that to lock again. I'm going to get a locking gas cap tommorow after I get home. At least I wasnt running around with race gas in the tank but that would be funny as hell to who ever put it in there POS.

The door is in open piece along with the lock but that plastic clip is useless for the lock to set in place. Theres to much play, has anyone fabed something up or will I be the first.
