Default gas pedal got stiff

HI!

I have 98 a4 2.8 5spd and today my gas pedal started to feel very stiff andits hard to switch gears.I pushed it with my hand and it definitely does not feel right. What should i do anddid anybody have this happen to them? Did something brake or I just need to lubricate some parts?

Thanks!

Could be "normal" cold weather symptoms for an almost 10 yr old car. Check your throtle body valve as if you were reving the engine from under the hoodbutwith the engine off. If its not as stiff as what it feels like when using the gas pedal, the problem could be the cable. If its stiff at the throtle body then Id clean it out. Either way its probably a good idea to clean the TB out if you havent done it.

Thanks for your help. YeahI will check the throttle body on weekend. AlsoI didnt have time to check, but does my carhave a cable throttle control or electric?I glanced at it whenI boughtthe car and I didnt really see any cables running and couldnt really rev it from under the hood. Its a 98.5 to be exact andhas the updated engine.
