Gas pump, rear drive shaft and central lock issues
Hi, I've been registered for a while put this is my first post. Been searching the forums but haven't found what I'm looking for. Any input on the issues below is helpful.
Audi A4 2,6 Quattro -95
1: Oil is leaking from right rear drive/driveshaft. It's hard to see how much, but it sure is leaking. Is this gasket difficult/expensive to replace? How and where do I refill this oil? What kind of oil and how much should I use? I've heard this i a rather common issue on these cars...
2: A couple of days ago the car started, just to shut down again after a second. I tried starting it again and it ran, not too well though. It idled very unstably, it went up and down from 500 to 1500 rpm. When i drove the car it felt OK until I pressed the clutch. When i released the gas pedal and pressed the clutch the rpm was still where I left it for one second, if you catch my drift. Then it fell down to ~1000 and went up and down even though i didn't touch the gaspedal. (Felt like a complete idiot at a stoplight
) Next day the problem was gone, but of course I'm concerned. What could have been/is the issue?
3: Central lock works about every second time. In the meantime it's competely dead. It works better when it's cold and humid, I think. Any input?
Thanks in advance!

1- I believe the refill is on the passenger side of the diff. Sounds like a bad seal.
2- Possibly a bad coolant temp sensor. If you can, get it scanned for codes.
3- Your lock pump might be going bad.

Thanks for the input, guys.
This morning I've been inspecting the leak closely. It looks like the leak from the diff/driveshaft is very very small, and that the liquid dripping is gas! When turning the engine off after driving, gas leaks a drop every five seconds for about ten minutes and then stops. It may be a bad gas pump gasket or something. I'm gonna lift the car at a friends workshop this evening. Someone heard about this?

Problem 3 solved! All I had to do was spraying antirust in the keyhole and into the doorlock. Now it works smoothly and the interior light shuts off when I close the door.
No, it doesn't feel safe at all. Of course there could be a leak in the line or a pinhole in the tank, but don't you think it's possible that the leak could have somthing to do with the fuel pump. It looks like the leak is somewhere near the fuel level sensor (cause that's what you can reach under the round plate just ahead of the spare wheel, right?).

Gas leak is not good. Either there is a leak in the line, or there is a pinhole in the tank.
