Default Help please - 97/98 1.8T Quattro - Where does this hose plug into....?

Hi All,

Just had an Ignition Control Module replaced by the local garage rather than the dealership which is 50 mls away - a distance I didn't want to drive with the car missing and vibrating so badly.

On collection I noted an oil coloured but translucent (clear) hose draped across the battery. Please see photo attached. Would someone with a 97 or 98 1.8T Turbo Quattro please take a look at theirs and tell me where this hose fits? I can see a crimp line across the end of the hose so it looks like it press fits into something in the area, but I can't tell what for sure.

Thanks for your help.

Hi exodi
The translucent (clear) hose draped across the battery
Has the battery been change at any time?
If so could it be for the old battery....a vent pipe for an original?
