i have a gauge and a pillar gauge pod, I think my 2000 a4 had air bags in the pillar how can i take the pillar off wthout messing with the air bag, and do i have to disconect the air bag when i put the gauge in the pillar?

if it has an airbag in it then I would think it unwise to fit the pod on there, if it has the airbag it will say SRS on there some where

you mean on the pillar itself.. it says nothing on the pillar.. I guess ill just have to take it off and find out..

that's the best way just pry the cover off its only clipped on and if there is an airbag then forget it but 99.9% say SRS where an air bag is located, down to safety I would think so no one drills little holes in there and gets a big surprise and a big bang lol

yea that would suck.. i dont like the gauge anywhere else though.. dam.. I hope there is no airbag

that looks like a Euro spec car.. the stearing wheel is on the right.. but ill pry the bitch off anyway just in case.. maybe ill get lucky..lol

how about you just look at the pilklar like he said, if it does you will see where it says it and no need to pry it off

yeah if you are going to pry it off, disconnect the battery, audis have a thing with static charges, thus the recall on the 1997 for the steering wheel air bag
