Yeah, I wouldn't advise just prying it off, or you might get a sweet prybar/screwdriver through your skull. I'd look to see if it says SRS, I think it is law that it has to be labeled, like on our seats (how they have the little SRS tags). Safety first and ****.

dude, i know you got 1383 posts, and i will say it again, check before you pry

i mean you might have that many posts, but you don't seem by this thread like you have alot of common sense, so i would question anyone listening to anything you say

it is simple it will say srs or i think my 01 actually says airbag, and mine is cloth so i wouldn't go prying anything, might hurt thecloth

second, imho audi's aren't really cars for a-pillar mounted guage pods, that is for trucks and ricer cars, these are sophisticated machines, i mean you might as well just mount it to your dash or hood

i mean awe does make a nice vent pod and if you wait till march which i think i am going to you can get a podi

or just go a little cheaper and buy

but like everyone has said and hopefully your reading this instead of in the hospital with an airbag in the face

if you read what I wrote I already said there is nothing on the pillar thats why i started the thread, I thought the 2000 had the pillar air bag but there is nothing there.. I dont like the vent boost gauge I think it looks stupid, and i dont care for the one that goes on the stearing wheel.. the pillar is the only other option I see..

There's an option for the pillar air bags. If there isn't a little plastic piece that says SRS on it, there's no airbag. There's 3 clips holding the pillar on. You really have to pull on the ****** to get it off. I mean pull really ******* hard. Start at the top about one fist down from the top and yank on the bastard.

For airbag equipped pillars, pop off the plastic SRS piece. Underneath there's a torx screw. Take it out, then yank on the ******. The airbag will not deploy. Just be carfeul not to hit anything underneath.

DO NOT USE A SCREWDRIVER TO PRY IT OFF. There's wires and some other crap along the underside.
