Looking to drain my current trans oil to replace with Redline MT-90 (which im seeing everywhere). How does AMSOIL stack up with this?Just read that article on gear lubes and apparently, AMSOIL Severe Gear is thejammmm...

Not too concerned with price -- i know AMSOIL is pricey.


i'm assuming gear oils, gear lubes, transmission oil are all the same thing (which is different from transmission fluid that goes in automatic cars) -- still a newbie here

 

the name means nothing its the contentSAE but manual trannys use 75W/90 synthetic and autos use ATF totally different things

 

Redline, Royal Purple, Amsoil, they all make good stuff. They are all pricey too.

Yes its all the same. Its gearbox oil.
Tranny fluid usually only pertains to Auto trannys.

dont forget about mobil 1 synthetic, i know alot of people who have had a good experience with that.
