WOOHOO getting my k04 put in this friday with the K04 file. I have had this thing sitting in a box in the garage for 3 months. I'm hella excited!!!!! I hope its everything you guys say it is cuz I'm hyped. Stay tuned for pics and videos.

for my car its J-31 I think. And no, not yet, need to do the level 10 tranny first

Oh you have a Tip Tranny??? I have one to! I am anxcious to see what your numbers are (0-60) can you do a before and after with the K04? What chip are you getting then at first? I have looked around and talked to a few people who have been running the K04 and a PC-16 file with a stock trip tranny and they havn't had any problems yet.

hmmm I need to research a little more on that before dumping it on my tranny. Oh there will be videos mwaahahahah MOOWWWAAHHAHAHAHAHAH. Yeah I can do a before and after no problem.

sweet man. the k04 is nice but you may be yearning for more power in the near future

and ya you might not have to do level 10 for j-31. a couple guys on audiworld are running aggressive k04 files with stock tip trannies. in the end it's up to you tho. wether you want to risk it or not, cuz the aggressive k04 files are right at the limit of the stock tranny. you would definitely want to get a tip chip tho.

 

I know what a tip chip does, but why would I want to get one?

 

I am curious as to how the tip chip allows for more power? If the trans is only capable of handling so much power how would a program and no hardware make it stronger?
