i forget how it strengthen it but it does. i asked the same question in a thread a little while back and got an answer. i just dont remember cuz i really dont care for auto's.

Because it shifts faster. With the stock programming on the tranny it takes a long time to shift meaning that there is more friction going on between the "Clutch" (i forgot what it's called in the trip tranny" But anyways it allows it to wear quicker. By shifting quicker there is less of the "Wear" time in between gears. Or at least thats how I understand it.

ahh found the thread . badluck provided the answer
the tip chip does make it a little strongetr cuz it puts more line pressure out and reduces slippage which is what causes the trannys to go **** up..

i herd the lvl 10 trannys shift very very hard. that they are a pain to drive in traffic and just as a dd. i have herd some other problems but i forget exactly what they were
