getting engine wet?
ok so my engine needs a good cleaning. i know on other cars you don't want to get the distributor cap too wet or it wont start. wuts the case with audi's? can the coil packs get wet? anything else i should worry about getting too much water on?
I do car detailing and we were not allowed to pressure wash customer engines, but on auction cars I used a plastic bag to cover the distributer or coil packs. Just dont hit the electronics or wires with too much water spray around them. But if you accidently spray them they sell spray that will dry out the wires.
i wouldnt do it bro. not worth the risk. get a rag and do some hand detailing. theres a lot of electronic stuff exposed under there. then put some armoral on the plastic engine covers etc.
