this is in regards to everyone who has ask for a bov recommendation and keeps getting bashed with how not to go with a bov cus it will throw cel's all over the place. well i istalled a gfb hybrid bov/dv valve on my 99.5 1.8t about a week ago and havent had a problem yet. it sounds nice, not too loud, and it feels like the boost bilds a little quicker. not a dramatic change but it sounds nice.

great... you could have just wated for some noob to show up and ask about bov's.. (one of the 4 per week)
then chip in info.. really this is just another pointless thread taking up band width.

btw, just because you have run your car for a week without something happening does not mean there isnt anything wrong

 

I have problems runing it at 20% vent/%80 recycle, starts throwing codes. That and i really think that the blowoff just sounds like tractor trailer air breaks, i'm going for the sports car feel, not driving a big rig. wish i had saved myself a few hundred and got a nice DV. to each his own i guess.
