Default GIAC Chip

Just bought an '06 2.0tQ. I'm looking at getting the GIAC tune from AWE. Under normal driving conditions will this affect my gas mileage?

LOL. If you're going to drive "normal", why get a chip at all. Of course it's going to affect your mileage.

I got giac and drive "normal" about 75% of the time. Just because you have a chip doesnt mean you have to drive like an *** hole. All a chip does is put the performance where it should have been in stock form in the first place, which still isnt furiously fast. But if you drive "normal" or somewhat conservative, you will actually notice an increase in mpg, especially on the highway. I went from high 20's to 33mpg. City driving-you really have to have a light foot to notice an increase in mpg, cuz the times when you do get on it, sorta cancels any light foot action out and then some. Most of your chip questions can be answered by using the search.

I just got the flash tune in OKC. I noticed a drop in MPG.... But then again, since I got the tune, I haven't really been driving it "normal"....

Whats a few bucks in gas when your car is 10x more fun to drive?

If your worried about mpg, get a hybrid or econo-box.
