GIAC makes chips that are computer specific depending on what motor/tranny you have and wheather you have quattro, go look on GIAC's website and see if the numbers match up.

It will work, when i bought my chip i got it used and i was hesitant about buying it b/c it came from a a4 1.8t tip, quattro and i have fwd manual. I bought it off the owner of NGP and he said it would work. Just to make sure it would i called AWE and they said it would, they just have to reflash it, I never even gave them any of the ecu numbers and they still said it would work. Pretty much if your car is N-DBW and your getting a chip from a N-DBW car then it will work, just has to be reflashed. Now you can't get a DBW chip and put it on your's, that deffinately wont work. Do some research, call AWE, I did when i was in the same situation, they deal with this **** daily so they know.

Oh yeah it is in my car, the GIAC chip, and I don't have any problems nor should there be any. So just for the people who don't know about this, it does work for N-DBW audi a4 1.8t.
