Default GIAC CHIPS

Hi all,

I was wondering whether anyone has installed the GIAC motor chip AND the GIAC Tiptronic chip togeter? If so, can someone give me their opinion of the benefits overall?

Thanks

I don't understand why you would need both chips.

Kathan21, please proofread your posts before you post them; they're very hard to understand.

The engine chip and tranny chip don't work together in any way, and you can use either one independently.
But each chip works and does what it is supposed to do. The tipchip reduces shifting time from 1 second to 0.2 seconds - very noticable change in the slop of the stock tiptronic.

The engine chip is amazing. I have personally driven cars with APR, GIAC, Neuspeed and Wetterauer chips. The GIAC was by far the most aggressive and most fun to drive. Of course, it all depends how aggressive you want the car to feel.

Thanks guys,

Brrman, I'm in Indy also, North East side.

I will be sending out the ECU's to AWE on Monday. I will let you all know how it goes. Should have 'em back and installed by Wednesday evening. I thought I might go for the Borla exhaust from AWE also, anyone have experience with it?

I have the GIAC chip and it makes a huge difference, but then again i have a 5-speed manual, so it is even faster....
