Default GIAC Tip chip question.

I know the chip reduces shift delay from 1 second to .2 seconds. on the AWE website the compare it to "superbike shifting". how well does this actually compare to a Manuel transmission? i know the manuel will still be faster but does the chip trip make them much more comparable?

Thanks,

Alex

It is better, but it isn't a manual.

autos take away alot of what the sport of racing is all about...knowing when and how to shift...it's more difficult than most people think..

The auto shifting is superior to the manual, and faster with the tipchip. But what I hate about the tip is that you can't shift more than one gear at a time. And like Panda says, its heavier and cannot handle as much power.

bentframe - most of us don't race. The tip is more than adequate for many people to have that sporty feel while still retaining an automatic car.

Are their two Tiptronic chips? a Giac, and a PES/Giac, or are they the same?
