GIAC Tip chip question.

The Giac tip chip reduces the shifting times of the stock tiptronic tranny. It makes it behave more like a manual.

You don't have a tiptronic transmission. According to your sig, you have the CV transmission, so no you don't have, nor can you have a tip chip.

What if any are the reliabilty issues with the tip chip. I hate the time it takes to shift. Does it shorten the life span of the clutch packs.

I would assume that it would increase the wear. Whether it significantly shortens it is unknown

I have called around and i heard that if u put both the GIAC tip cip and ECU chip ur car is extremely vulnerable to CEL's just what i have heard.. "its too much power to handle"

Yeah a good auto can shift faster than a good driver -- auto's cant anticpate what you are about to do though... so tiptronic is sorta the best of both worlds in theory... but just isnt as fun. and the power handling capabalities and all that stuff... most of stay well within the tip's power handling levels though.

what exactly does teh chip do?

and what if I got it on my 2.8l, seeing as tere really is no ecu upgrade for my car?
