hey guys i have a 2001 a4 1.8tqm and was told the x plus chip would be the best for my car, is this true? Also does anyone know any online retailers that sell it? I've searched for it but couldn't find it even on the giac website. Do they call it the x plus or is it just the software thats available for my car? I have an M box - thanks for any help and I did search the forums with no luck..

 

awe-tuning.com is GIAC's store front - they are in the same building the X-chip is just a stronger(more aggressive) tune

Just call and ask - I know they have disconinued a few of their more agressive tunes and wasn't sure if the X-chip was included in that. Call and ask

 

Just called them up and they said whatever tune giac has out right now is what they are carrying so im going to assume its the x plus

 

The X chip utilizes larger injectors that both GIAC & APR realized were needed for the upper rpm rev band with the K03. As far as I've heard, this system is best utilizedwhen an aftermarket exhaust is being used as well. Will being doing the same very soon in the future.

 

You dont need injectors for the B5GIAC-X file.. Its just what they use on 01's. There is a big injector file for the B6 that is called GIAC-FX.
