Default god.....

today i washed my car with the Mr. Clean Auto Dry car wash system. it works very well, but it seems like whenever i do wash my car and the water dries, that the hood and front bumper just arent as clean as the other parts of the car. but idk. i also have this Nu Finish scratch remover that ive used once before and it worked very well, but this time i think i may have used a little too much or didnt buff it in thoroughly enough. it kinda left a smudge but not as bad as when i re-washed the buffed areas. o well my dad is buying me a wax this weekend so yay. what do u guys use when you wash your car?
Thanks.

oooooo. Never use that Nu finish stuff. I ruined the clearcoat finish on my old rx7 by using it all over. It works for small areas (like on scratches) but I dont think its meant to be used as a car polish.

I recommend using a synthetic 'wax' or polymer... caranuba and all that stuff isnt as good as synthetic, that's for damned sure.

I think there is a guy in our detailing section that sells stuff. Hmm.

EDIT: there's this place... damn they are $$$ though. Jeebus. http://www.wolfgangcarcare.com/index.html

best inexpensive wax you can buy right now is meguiars tech wax. It works great. Only have to wax my car once every two to three months. Before, I was doing it every third weekend. It is what Brumos Porsche/Mercedes/Lexus uses, (big dealership in the north florida). A friend of mine is a detailer up there, so I get it for free...

I use Meguiars Tech Wax. My car shines like crazy and stays clean. Of course I use IHG as well Meguiars Show Glaze.
