Hey guys, I am about to get an exhaust and coil springs for my A4 2.8 quattro. I have been searching around and for some reason not really coming up with a lot of sites for the 2.8.

If somone could please direct me in the right way i would apreciate it very much

Thank you,
Stefan

Id go custom for an exhaust for a 2.8. Other than that:

def go custom exhaust and save a couple hundred bucks....besides that if ur looking for a good (inexpensive) suspension set-up take a look at the h&r bilstein combination(spring&shock) awe-tuning.com

oh, and if you didn't know...you can't just throw on a set of lowering springs and call it a day, you must replace the shocks as well (your stock shocks w/lowering springs will not hold up for more that 6 months max)

good luck!

Im new to audi's Been around mostly Cobras, Z's and G35's..

Every pair of springs i have put in with my friends has held up fine on the stock shock setup. Is that just with the audi setup?

custom exhaust would be taking the car to a muffler shop with the muffler of your choosing (you can find pretty good prices on any magnaflow muffler on ebay)...they will remove your existing (stock) exhaust set-up and re-fabricate the same bends on a new pipe (which would be whatever diameter you requested)...then they will bolt/weld on the new piping back onto the cat, hang it and install your muffler/tips...

as far as shocks go, it's a rule of thumb to replace the stock shocks when installing lowering springs....though there are some exceptions.... if you just bought the car and it is new you do not need to replace the shocks when installing lowering springs, if you have the sport suspension it is not as risky putting lowering springs on them (but you will notice no real drop w lowering springs because the sport suspension is designed to let the car ride about and inch and a quarter lower than the non sports)...
If your car does not have the sport suspension and it has more than 50k on the odometer.....if you did install lowering springs on this suspension it will fail anywhere within a day to six months (or anywhere in between)...the stock non-sport springs are NOT designed for any drop whatsoever.....

hopefully something in there helps a bit

before you ask any questions or start any new threads, there is a blue link at the top of the screen that says SEARCH
this is a prety extensive forum, you should be able to find just about anything your looking for, if you look for it...
