good news, opinions please
so im pretty sure im gonna be taking out like a 3000 dollar loan to get all of the repairs out of the way on my car. and then have plenty left over to mod my car the way i want. but i am really not to sure what to do engine wise. i dont need my car to be super fast, i want it to look good basically, i got a 96 2.8 But what are some things i could do to help my car be more reliable (engine wise) and what do you guys think i should do for the look of my car. i wanna scoop some new tails, tints, i dont think i want a new exhaust system, i might just get a exhaust tip. endless possabilities. lemme know what you guys think

Here is what you do. If you are not mechanically inclined find yourself a good mechanic who works with Audi and VW.
Buy a Bentley manual
Buy a VAGCOM (or get real friendly with someone who has one) and run it to check for codes
Swap out all your fluids (oil, transmission, differentials, power steering, radiator. (Use only Audi approved fluids for power steering, coolant, and auto transmission).
Change your oil and filter every 5K miles with synthetic.
Change your spark plugs and air filter.
Check the engine bay for vacuum leaks.
Find out when the timing belt was changed. If it hasn't been done and you are over 60K miles, it should be done including all the front end belts, water pump, and front engine seals.
Top up the battery, Check the CV boots.
Fix the little things before they pile up.
Have fun.
