ORIGINAL: Nasty

if you dont feel like bending over and getting *** raped by the dealership then just try and find a audi/vw specialist in your area, have him take a took at it and give you an estimate. if its gonna be more than you can afford then just have insurence take care of it.

since it was your sisters car and i dont know if you are insured under it, you might have to tell the insurence company that your sister was the one driving. that wont be hard unless the cops took an accident report.
Yeah, that sounds like my best plan of action. I was going to go the insurance route, but I don't want to raise my sister's premium unless I absolutely have to. Thanks for the ideas.

i would first start by getting on my hands and knees and begging for my sister's forgiveness [sm=hail.gif] then tell her how you're gonna go about fixing it and hopefully she'll help you out too since it's her car...u'll go farther when you guys have a plan.

k i was no help...sorry...

OKay .. If the engine can be easily fixed the least you will need is the oil filter?? thats nothing. Chances are slim. Once the engine is fixed then you have to make sure that the control arms arn't bent or damaged. If you take a side picture of the car i might be able to show you that the controle arms arn't bent. I hit a curb going 25mph and bent my control arm's pretty darn bad.

You will need a new bumper for sure. that can be easily found on Ebay.
Radiator.. check if its leaking.. if not then you might be able to still use it. Aluminum seal will help if the radiator is cracked slightly. you can also find another one of them on Ebay.

If all else fails then tell your sister that you will pay for part of her premium next year and go through the audi dealership.

Sorry to hear. I learned my lesson in the rain about a month ago.. just missed a telephone pole by about an inch.. im still wondering what angel was looking over me when i missed that pole .. Literally an inch.

Take it to a good body shop an dhave them look at it. THis is a little more than just body damge. U probaly need a new bumper, radiatpr, oil filter, maybe oil pan, coolant, windshield washer fluid and teh conatiner (it sits right there in the corner). my biggest thing when i got my license i sai di would never be reclious on residental streets. Ithink u should do teh same.

Yeah, I don't plan on my sister paying for any of it. I don't really have to tell her until she gets back on the 29th and hopefully I'll have it fixed by then, or close to it.
