Got my a4 today!
Congrats, but, why the frig are you trying to launch if you arent comfortable driving stick in general yet?????????? Go easy on it. I had to teach myself how to drive stick on my first car and replaced the clutch 3 weeks later.
i think my probly is im not giving it enought gas from when im at a stop going into 1st. when im letting the clutch up i try not to give it gas till my foot is pretty much off it because im afried to hurt the cltuch.
The key with driving a stick is making it smooth. I have only driven a stick sparingly in the last few years, in fact, the only ones were 2 Porsches, a 996 and a 911SC both with HEAVY clutches and the SC with a racing flywheel.
My Audi's clutch engages high, but MAN, its forgiving. I've had the car a week and a half and I only stalled the car once. It takes time to get used to, but I was driving the SHO a bit today and I tried to push in the non existant clutch...
