Went to a local muffler shop today and the guy hooked it up for $250....Not bad I thought....I got Magnaflow Mufflers (can't remember which style) and re-used the stock tips, for now.....There's kinda of a funny pinging noise coming from the exhaust when I get at about 3500-4000 RPM, not sure what it is, but definately going to ask tomorrow....Posting up a few pix of before and after, from my camera phone...After I get the noise figured out I'll try and post a sound/video clip....

You got that for $250.. Awesome!

 

You had your resonator removed, thats why you hear poping/pinging.

 

congrats on the new exhaust. don't the magnaflows take a while to adjust? like they are packed with something (i want to say some kind of glass) that melts or something before they start sounding good?

that noise is normal if you have your resenator removed, I have a custom magnaflow as well and I get the popping backfire noise when I go WOT and let off too

 

excuse my ignorance but what is the resonator and what does it do?
