GOT MY TIRES ON!!!!
Got my new tires on todayYokohama avs, they grip GREAT. It rained here today so i didn't push it too hard, yet. Anyways what should have my camber be set at for the ocassional autocross, i was thinking maybe like 2 in the front and 1.5 in the back, i also want them to wear evenly. Thanks guys
Camber is a complex and dependent phenomenon. It isn't the best solution really...
When cornering, the suspension moves vertically. The wheel's camber changes as the suspension moves up and down, therefore, the wheel does not maintain an ideal camber angle at all times - especially in corners. Suspensions do the best they can to offset these issues, but...
Toe angle is responsible for stability and cornering, too. A slight change toward toe out will increase the cornering by causing a tendency to oversteer. (It is best for front wheel drive cars to have toe out settings because FWD cars tend to induce understeer. Quattro cars benefit from this, too.) Just remember... Excessive toe-out causes the tires to scrub; too much toe-out causes the tires to wear on the inside edges.
