If you want a honda, I'll trade for your A4, I'll leave it intact minus my P9 combo (radio & processor).. ... oil sludging, is that even with regular interval oil changes? That's probably why I get the Oil light when I start the car...

 

he asked, "can i drive it like a toyota or a honda?" meaning, can i run it into the ground and treat it like ****? and you're correct, oil sludge is only common in the 1.8Ts, but it can still occur in the 2.8s. people that ask questions like that tend to be neglecting, and don't make good audi owners..not to sound like an *******, but it's the truth. the majority of car owners don't like to maintain their car (primarily honda and toyota owners). if you own a german car, you have to change the oil religiously, change the tb every 60-70k miles, flush your coolant, flush your brake system, flush your tranny, and many other things that you would never have to worry about in a honda.

 

b5nightrider, the first major service on your audi should be done @ 60k miles. search the forums and you'll find all kinds of useful information on maintaining your new audi.

 

I have 1.8T tip w/ APR , and whenever I have tried a brake launch(I know they are bad) it launches well comepared to just flooring the gas.
But after 1st, the turbo doesnt spool well.
So considering that , its not as effective.

 

I read the owner manual and it state that the timing belt has to be change after 100K, and oil change every 5k or so... is that correct? also, what is flushing your tranny, coolent, brake, and tranmission? how often do i have to do those thing?

 

wrong again dave 666 how does brake launchin have any thing to do with boost after first gear? the reason u brake launch is to get the boost and rpms up so there is no lag, maybe ur not keepin it floored enough or somthin?

as said before, you can use the search option to get an idea of what to expect on MOST of these issues. It will accomplish tweo things (among others)....one, you wont appear to have your head up your..., and two you wont have wise asses like myself replying to you.

 

If i don't know, I will tell you that I don't know. I am a new Audi owner and therefore there is alot of things about the car that I don't know. Which part of that make me sound like I have my head up my ...?
