oooooooooookkkkk.... this has gotten heated fast... over nothing.
Let's keep in mind guys... Audi is NOT a well known brand, the general public (in which I'm assuming he belonged to until he bought the car... in which he is in the process of learning about) is unaware of Audi's basically... and know nothing about them. Let's face it... they're great cars (B7 IMO has the upper hand on the new BMWs) but they don't have BMWs popularity. But, when people are reminded that the 4 rings exist... they think 'quality.' So... simple question... he never came in and said "I can drive my Audi like a Jap box" he asked if he could, his perception of Audi is 'quality.' Yes, they are quality, very high quality, but they do also require more maintenance than a Honda or Toyota would.

Brake launching is a very viable option if you have the burning desire to launch your car.... I’d NEVER drop an automatic...ever. Really though... do you need to? You're not going to be 'Fast and Furious'.... more like 'Quick and Agitated'

as for reliability u bought the 2.8 so its pretty reliable. youre car will need a bit more maintnence than a honda or toyota after all those cars were made for people who do the bare minimum just to keep it rinning. J/K
