grinding noise in engine

Its not the cam position sensor, its sludge. When the engine sludges up the
1. oil pressure light comes on
2. grinding and rattling noises come from the cam chain tensioner
3. if really bad will throw cam allocation/advance faults from the chain tensioner sticking
a cam sensor won't do anything.

just to let you guys know, i broke down in the middle of PA, the car just started making reallllllly weird noises even weirder then the grinding noise whichstoppedfor the most time. so we pulled over and thecar just died the battery thing cameup and we couldnt turn the caron. wegot towed to a dealership in Newton, NJ, took me 11 hours to get home. ill let you guys know what was wrong with when the dealership calls me tomorrow.

im under warranty but i gaurantee they are going to try and charge me for some bullshit, lol

and by the way, thinking of selling my audi due to the fact i had to bring it in like 8 times within the 4 months i owned it.

IF U TOOK IT IN 8 TIMES IN 4 MONTHS Y DNT U LEMON IT. I DNT KNOW IF U GUYS HAVE THAT LAW IN NJ, BUT IN CA IF U TAKE IT IN FOR MORE THAN 4 TIMES U CAN LEMON IT.

Ya goof ball don't drive it! You probably need a new engine now if its sludge!!!! I hope you kept all your oil change receipts so audi will cover it.

i had the car for 4 months and i just got an oil chnage the day before going on this drive..

I don't care if you flushed the engine with seafoam it isn't gonna matter, once the pick up tube is sludged up your done for! Take it to the dealer here, no back yard mechanics.

i went like 3,500 without an oil change i know 3k is when i should do it but i was busy [sm=smiley6.gif][sm=smiley19.gif]
