Reliability isn't the issue, it's price for most people.

The GT2X is not water cooled. Oil only.

I will be parting this thing out. Someone does currently have dibs though and untill the 2871R is in and I count the extras, I won't know what parts will be going with it.

It's significantly faster than stock. I'v never driven a chipped or K04 A4, so I can't really compare it to anything else. I had a major boost leak at the last GTG I went to (only made 5 psi because of it) and it sucked. The Mika tuning sucks ***. At 2k rpm the engine bogs down because of how rich it is. Around 3k it spools up and at 4k it makes some decent power.

I think if someone came out with a good file for the gt2x, it could be a nice alternative to the k04.

I heard a rumor that Unitronic made a chip for it. I was going to look into it, but decided to go for the 2871R.

Just out of curiousity, could you take the eliminator kit from atp, install it, have software. and not need anything else?

... It's not watercooled?!

When I spoke with ATPTurbo, they said the installation kit comes with a new coolant fitting to fit the GT2X, and even the installation instructions come steps on hooking up the coolant lines to the Turbo.

That's strange...

one more thing... Zed Ex... The Ko4 is only a little bit bigger than the Ko3 correct? Well what your saying is its not worth even upgrading to the ko4 because its only a little bit bigger than the ko3? Atleast that seems to be what I'm getting out of you saying you don't like the gt2x...

I'm new to everything in the Audi world so I may have just made an *** out of myself, but heh I'm trying to learn

No, I'm saying what I gathered from other german car tuners is that the GT2X isn't worth the extra money, that you'd be better off going with the K04. I'm not against the GT2X at all, if I had the money, I'd certainly go with it.
