guage placement

does anyone have here have thier after market guages in any other places than the pillar steering column or vent im trying to get some ideas i have 2 guages and im putting them in a b5

If you are putting it on the pillar, make sure you don't have curtain air bags. Otherwise when your airbag deploys, it will launch the gauge into your brain at 200 mph.

yea i dont wanna put it in the pillar i was almost thinkin of taking out the ashtray and cigarette lighter and making a to replace it and putting them in there or making a pod for ontop of the dash in the middle
