Ok, are u using flatblack, and this clearcoating it?

 

yep, flat black, then a "triple clear" its called... the primer, base, and clear are all KRYLON products.

 

The wagon has a blacked out grill and it looks like Police car. People hit there brakes when they see me behind them. [&:]

 

Head, took me 10min after i saw how the clips work to get it out and take the chrome off. I used a metal point to get those hard clips off. Then i sanded a lil and ran a wire brush over it, and now i have the primer on and drying, in 12min ill go back out and put the first layer on. Haha, i love diy days.

 

i'm taking my grill apart as we speak....yea, i feel good about you being the guinea pig too. i'm pretty sure it's gonna look sick though, i'll probably start sanding the chrome in a few minutes...

 

Bent, i took a wire brush and sand paper, worked well, then i primed it, then lightly took the wire brush over it again. Are you guys for sure putting a clearcoat to shine it up?

i def need a clear coat cause i've got the brilliant black or whatever the plain black is, it would look cheap without a clearcoat imo....i need to get some lower grade sandpaper, all i've got is 600+...i think it's time for a quick trip down to "ace, the helpful place"....
