Hi

Bit of advice please as i'm not technically minded! I've got a 1997 A4 1.9 Quattro.

When i try and and put on the handbrake it lifts up and engages the brakes, however the ratchet mechnism is not available and i am unable to hold the handbrake in place.

Any ideas??
