hey my car wont start if you read the other thread and was wondering if any of you have expirenced a starter go bad? can it go with out any sign? i never had trouble with the car starting before

 

A starter can go at any time. Actually it usually waits for the absolute worst time to fail, then it fails. If a starter fails, it will not even click when the solenoid engages.

 

I left the amp to my sub on in my car for 2 days, and it just about didn't start, but it did! Not related, but I thought I would share my moment of stupidity... [:@]

 

I have seen a few not a lot but it does happen

 

I fried my starter three times in my car, bc my ignition switch was bad. With the turbo timer, the car wouldnt shut off, instead if I messed with the key while driving, it would engage the starter. So.....I had to pay for one, and then kept bringing it back and saying defective until I got my ignition switch fixed.......saved me a lot of money...lol
