Default It has to be my car!!! I hate that Murphy!

Last night I planned to replace my Engine coolant temperature sensor and I have researched a lot of technical write up regards to caused and possible replacement. I have found a tech bulletin saying that it will take 3 minutes max to replaced it. Well, my car which is a 2001 A4 1.8TQ AWM have this (*&^() sensor way behind the manifold between it and the firewall. I have to possibly remove some hose to get at it. Why does it have to be my car? Anyway, if there is someone there that has done this and have the same car as mine. Can you tell me if there is any short cut? Please e-mail it to me at marioajavier@eaton.com

Mines back there too and it took me about 5 minutes. I didn't have to move any hose. Can you post apic of it?

Is your car a 1.8TQ? I have an AWM motor and I don't think I can't get away from not removing the hoses.
