Default Headlight bulb CEL

I recently installed HIDs into my B5 and now because the HIDs use less power, my HUD is telling me I have a bulb out, anyway to turn that off???

Use a 2.2k Ohm resistor and it will get rid of that. Look in the vendors for sale section under the visionbulbs forum, there is a diagram that shows you where to place it there.

Hmm I couldn't get the resistors to work for me, I used one 2.2k ohm resistor per side and still had thewarning go off. Radioshack has two different types of 2.2k ohm resistors, both are 5% tolerance, one is 1/4watt and the other is 1/2watt, neither worked. What should I do now, can you shut off that sensor through VAG-com?
